The Festival That Must Not Be Named

((OOC: I am mad. As some of you who stuck around my blog around October last year might know I am lucky enough to live in a city that hosts a Harry Potter Festival in October each year. Freaking cool mate. Even though I had never heard about it until last year it has been around for 15 years. Even JK Rowling herself attended in 2010, my dudes.

So this is when it gets really bad: Warner Bros got involved this week. And they are not happy about the succes of the festival. Basically they’re not allowed to use any trademarked names and places etc. from the universe in the event from now on and I am so confused. This is a nonprofit event arranged by the city’s libraries and very much keeps the spirit of the universe intact. But giant companies gotta do what giant companies gotta do.

When I first read about the whole thing I thought they were gonna shut the festival down but luckily they have decided to continue by going around all the trademark stuff and changing the name of the festival from “Harry Potter Festival” to either “Magical Days” or “The Festival that must not be named” (I’m voting for this for obvious reasons).

So even though they now have to change every name to some lame Danish replacement I’m still excited to dress up as Parry Hotter and Won Reasley and going to Pigfarts once again this October and as last year I am officially inviting all of you to come too.

Biologically no.

Mentally YES. A lot. Whatever you wanna be, be that. One gender per human. Whatever suits ya. Just don’t start putting it into boxes and giving them names.

I was at a standup show the other day where the dude said that some people claim there are 54 genders…. if we’re gonna go past 2 then why stop there? Why not 176? Why not one for every person on this planet??))

What does your URL mean?

So as you can probably tell it isn’t really a Harry Potter related URL like everyone else got. So making this blog I was inspired by all the other hp rp blogs and decided to try it out myself – mostly for my own entertainment – only for my own entertainment actually – so creating this mess I was literally shaking my head asking myself ‘what has this come to’. And that was the URL at first but then at some point I added the ‘ask’ because that’s what all the cool kids were doing.

So it’s not really an hp reference but more the proof of how my life has spiralled into a complete mess since I made this blog 🤷🏼‍♀️))
