If you are a fan of RP, and would really like to start… DON’T.
Why?
Here’s a comprehensive list of things you should fully expect to happen, getting into RP:
1) You will become an exhibitionist… and no… not on purpose.
Example:
The many, many times I’ve forgotten to lock my door and had family members walk in on me half-naked in my room.
That one time Kiki walked in on me in a goddam collar, took one look, and walked out without a word.
2) You will be physically maimed… by yourself… and possibly others… constantly.
Example:
That one time I knocked the wind out of myself and nearly broke a rib… from jumping off of my bed and landing on my stomach… (but hey, I got the shot!)
That one time Oddoo full-on-bitch-slapped me in the face… “by accident”.
The many, many times I’ve given myself bruises and a kinked neck, flinging myself around my room.
That one time I nearly asphyxiated myself by lighting multiple scented candles in my room… for mood lighting…
3) You will be judged.
I think this one is pretty self-explanatory.
4) You will run out of money.
This is not a cheap hobby. *weeps* Not. Cheap.
5) Your social life will evaporate.
Example:
“Hey, wanna go out tonight?”
“Uh… no, sorry. I have plans.”
“What plans? You literally never leave your room.”
“I have… plans… in my room……………….. with Voldemort….”
6) You will get pregnant and die.
I don’t think there’s much more to say except… if someone asks you to RP, if you feel peer pressured…. JUST SAY NO.

7) you will drive yourself insane trying to be the writer, actor, director and post production of whatever you’re trying to create
8) you’ll find yourself staring into the abyss that is a 40 frame gif looping over and over and over and over again because SOMETHING ISNT QUITE RIGHT
9) refilming an entire thread because you fuckedddddd up
10) you get stuck with TT and that one explains itself really 👀
11) I once filmed an entire wolfstar thread, edited it, knew something was completely off and couldn’t tell what. The realised I had completely forgotten to give Remi her scars. Had to re-film.
12) Molly once walked in on me in my room beaten and gagged with tears running down my face, stared for ten seconds, went “what the fuck” and promptly walked out.
13) The number of times I have creepily touched my own face, or hugged myself with my arm stuck through a pair of jeans, or put a wig on a pillow… all for the sake of a gif.
14) Gotten way too into the method acting and ended up needing to phone a friend to cheer you up because you were fake crying as a fake character and made yourself sad.
15) Had to answer the door to the postman or run in to the window cleaner in full cosplay. Beard included.
16) And finally… been injured many, many times. Usually at the hands of my sister. Who is incapable of stage slapping. Case in point:
17) You don’t sleep.
18) All your other hobbies take a backseat.
19) Spend way too much time on tumblr.
20) Spend all your time crying over your friends brilliant threads.
21) Don’t ever ever RP. You will meet the most extraordinary people you will ever know. You will make friends with them and form bonds that will last for years to come. They will give you the courage and strength to go places you’ve never gone and do things you never thought you’d do. They will support you in all of your endeavors and cheer you on because they are 100% on your team. They will lift you up when you are feeling low, they will laugh with you and make the highs feel even higher. Their love is unconditional and though sometimes you can’t talk too much and the distance may feel so wide, their friendship is always waiting and ready to go when you return. Their words will touch you when sometimes they cannot do so physically. And they will help you grow as not just an rper but a person. Nurturing you artistically, logically, spiritually, nonsensically, and lovingly. Knowing the ebb and flow of give and take when they embark on your journeys and let you tag along on theirs is their specialty. They will love you and you will love them back with all your strength.
22) Procrastination. You will procrastinate on everything. You will procrastinate on your procrastination.
23) Stress. You will get stressed that your said procrastination stops your ability to make stuff and that literally EVERYONE else is making such brilliant threads like everyday.
24) Existentialistic crisises. At some point you will stare at yourself on your computer screen with a fake beard and a bed sheet around your torso as a dress and you’ll start wondering wth you’re doing with your life… (then continue ‘cause that shit’s fecking fun)
